Emily Barkovic was born and raised in a small town in Massachusetts. She developed a love for theater performing in community and school productions throughout her childhood. Knowing that she wanted to further her exploration of Musical Theatre on the collegiate level, Emily headed to the natural place for such training, New York! She attended Wagner College and graduated with a degree in Theatre Performance.
In addition to acting, dancing, and singing, Emily also dabbles in various instruments. She plays piano, began guitar last year, and is now starting to tackle the ukulele! Emily also began writing songs in college, and has continued pursuing that work post-graduation. Since moving to the city, Emily has also found success in various TV/Film projects, from network TV to features. She looks forward to exploring this avenue further.
Aside from all things theatrical, Emily loves to cook, eat, read, and travel! Emily has gleaned so much knowledge about people and our interconnectedness as a species from her travels over the years, a knowledge that has helped her grow as both a performer and person. Connecting with others is such a crucial aspect of performing, and it is why Emily finds true joy and purpose in this art form.
